Therefore, because of this elasticity the thread that should be used should be as the same garment fabric which has elasticity to it as well. On the other hand if a nylon sewing thread was used to sew together pieces of delicate silk then there would be no give and take with the material that is sewn together using this style of thread. I have a 1975 White Sewing machine, very good machine, never had problems before…now, for some reason, the needle is making a loop for the bobbin thread but not pulling the thread out. I have checked and re-checked the bobbin and checked & re-checked the threading of the needle, and everything looks fine…anybody out there have any suggestions?

Hello hello
Since I was in high school, I made my own clothings (from a t-shirts, jeans, bags, to dresses) using a really simple handheld sewing machine with no special options. It’s really hard especially because it takes forever!
I’m planning on getting a sewing machine - which I have NO KNOWLEDGE of.

I heard SINGER or BROTHER are good… but there were so many options from quickstitch to 100-stitch, manual to automatic, electronic to computerized..etc. not to mention these patterns of zigzag, straight, shaped..etc.

My head hurts so much.
The cheapest one I found though, however, was the SewPro QuikStitch Sewing Machine (SP-402). Is this good enough?

I’d like a simple and affordable sewing machine that I could quickly learn (to do almost all the basic-moderate sewing… making clothes and accessories!)

Please help meee!! Thank you Huh??? What’s these stitches and reverse gear??? I’m so confused!

My sewing genie either gobs up under the pressure foot (sorry if my terminology is a little off, bare with me the last time I used a sewing machine was 35 years ago in “home ec”) where the bobbin is, or the upper thread breaks. I do not have the instruction manual in hand, but had it read to me over the phone, so I think I have the thread placed properly (not sure, of course). I did have some luck, so I know there is hope.
