I have a singer Stylist 514 sewing machine and the handwheel is stuck, anyone know how to fix this problem ?
The wheel won’t turn when trying to lift the needle, my choice of words were wrong, as I was sewing, it just kept banging and banging and then I tried to get the needle up and it just stops it won’t turn anymore and it doesn’t feel “sticky or needs oil” just plain stops.

I do not know what type of shank my sewing machine has, the manual does not say. I don’t know if it’s a high, low, slant or other shank. It’s a Singer, I think model 93234.

When i was in my home and careers class, i was the best one one the sewing machine. That’s because the sewing machine in there was already threaded and set. all you had to do was flip a switch and you’re all go. I got a sewing machine and i can’t figure out for the life of me how to figure it out or thread it. HELP.
sorry, its a brother XL-2230, and i looked at the website and couldn’t find anything.

I’m looking to buy a good machine for home crafts that’s easy enough for a novice (who learns quickly) to use. Quilting, pillows, curtains, maybe some simple clothing patterns and/or clothing repairs. But I really have NO IDEA what the difference is between a SERGER and a SEWING machine. Also what brands would you recommend in the ‘under $400′ price range?

I’ve recently purchased a “Unique” zipper foot “for polyester invisible zipper installation” and can not figure out how to attach it to my Brother sewing machine. The instructions are absolutely useless. Has anyone used one before? How do they work?

I am a beginner sewer who just purchased a sewing machine. For all the advanced sewers out there what patterns/items should I start out with that will be easy and not so frustrating? What do I need to get started besides the machine itself? Any tips/suggestions would be most helpful!

I know i can use normal thread but my friend said that it is really hard to sew fur and that you have to be strong. is he correct? i was thinking about buying some coyotes or some lambs and sewing them together? or maybe even just some scraps. Thank you.

I am going to start sewing but most of it will be simple straight stitching. No embrodiery or anything. I don’t need a machine that does 2,002 stitches. Which machine would be for me? If you know of a certain machine too, I would greatly appreciate any advice? I am going to be doing alot of scrap fabric crafts for my home like quilted pillows and heming fabric.
