What sewing machine should I look for?

I need one that is not pricey and that is very simple to learn on. I need to learn to sew my 1 and 2 year olds some clothes. I have no background in sewing and will be learning as I go. Any advice on an easy to use machine will be great.

Will anyone please help me choose the right sewing machine?

Hello hello 
Since I was in high school, I made my own clothings (from a t-shirts, jeans, bags, to dresses) using a really simple handheld sewing machine with no special options. It’s really hard especially because it takes forever!
I’m planning on getting a sewing machine - which I have NO KNOWLEDGE of.

I’m planning on getting a sewing machine - which I have NO KNOWLEDGE of.
I heard SINGER or BROTHER are good… but there were so many options from quickstitch to 100-stitch, manual to automatic, electronic to computerized..etc. not to mention these patterns of zigzag, straight, shaped..etc.
My head hurts so much.
The cheapest one I found though, however, was the SewPro QuikStitch Sewing Machine (SP-402). Is this good enough?
I’d like a simple and affordable sewing machine that I could quickly learn (to do almost all the basic-moderate sewing… making clothes and accessories!)
Please help meee!! Thank you Huh??? What’s these stitches and reverse gear??? I’m so confused!

I have a Singer Prélude and I can’t seem to get a stitch through any knit fabrics. Is there any way I can sew knits with a regular sewing machine, without having to use a serger? I’m trying to make a simple swimsuit!

Has anyone out there been successful using the portable Sewing Genie?

My sewing genie either gobs up under the pressure foot (sorry if my terminology is a little off, bare with me the last time I used a sewing machine was 35 years ago in “home ec”) where the bobbin is, or the upper thread breaks. I do not have the instruction manual in hand, but had it read to me over the phone, so I think I have the thread placed properly (not sure, of course). I did have some luck, so I know there is hope. What do I need to use to keep my sewing project from shifting? I am making a baby blanket and it is crooked?

I found this awesome old sewing machine the Pfaff 260 Stopmatic at a thrift store and I am just curious how old it is. It is one of the one that is built into the cabinet and flips under. Any information on it would be appreciated. I couldn’t find anything on google!

lower to mid priced for intermediate sewing skills, home hobby sewing not industrial. Thought about the bargain ones for 200$ at Walmart and such-or a waste of money? Would like to make nice edgings. like scalloped or rolled hems on scarves also.

why does the top thread on the sewing machine keep on breaking when i go to start sewing?

i have a euro pro sewing machine. i was making a hand bag (i’m a bigner sewer…just 14 yrs old) with denim and i guess the needle was too fradgle and it broke clean in half. my grandma who does a lot with sewing machines said next time she came over she would help me out. but she lives an hour away and i can’t wait any longer. do y’all know how i can take the darn thing out and replace it??? i’m not good with machines.

How do I oil my sewing machine?

The moisture here is high…I have some rust on upper thread guides causing bad tension. I have had the sewing machine for years now, and never oiled it. Can anyone help? I have my 3 in 1 oil ready, lol.
