I just recently purchased a kenmore sewing machine and is there a particular brand of thread that is better than most or does it really matter?

sewing machine does not work instead of sewing the clothe it makes a lot of knots?

my sewing machine is kind of new but now when i sew the needle stays in one place does not move back and forth just makes knots in that one spot what can I do

I’m not married and know no girls that know how to sew and or are willing to teach and I want to learn a life skill, I live in the middle of nowhere, no sewing shops or I want to self teach myself how to make decorative handcrafted pillows for my beautiful house. I generally can learn something from a good book, etc. Help me obi-wan!

How do I keep the tops of my sheets and comforter together on my bed without sewing?

I have no problem remembering to grab the sheet and comforter, but my sweetheart doesn’t think of it & really messes up the bed. Is there any kind of clip I can attach to the top corners to keep them together?
