I want to learn to sew, but can’t find any classes.

Also, what sewing machine is good for a beginner? TIA!

Go to your local library and take a look at the sewing books they have. You can generally buy them at any book store. I like the Pattie Palmer books: Fit for Real People and Pants for Real People. These are good fitting books. It’s going to depend on your comprehension of sewing, as to which “learn to sew” book is going to help you the most. There are some good sewing sites out here. Check with Patternreview.com. There are ladies(and gents)of all ages, sizes and ability on that site. Go in to the Message area and you should be able to get all kinds of feedback. As far as a good machine for a beginner, I love my Kenmore 18221 and I’ve been sewing for 35 years. It’s sturdy, and not over the top fancy. Does everything I want it to do and not difficult to work. I got mine at Sears. I would recommend it for anyone.
